Our next fill in the blanks come from an alternative rock band out of Los Angeles/NYC. Guardian Ghost, the brainchild of Jesse Glick, is about to release their newest record. The band’s full length, Line Drawings, was released earlier this year and consists of 15 beautiful tracks. My favorites include “Gorgeous” and “Stinging Nettles (Carry Me).” The entirety of the album was created by Glick in the solitude of his chilly NYC apartment. A music video was released earlier this month for the new single “Sailor” and it features star Katia Winters. The Shadowlands album is set to be released in early 2015 so I sent over some fill in the blanks to learn more about Glick and his Guardian Ghost project.

I knew I wanted to pursue music when….I started writing and singing my own songs at 14 yrs old​.

The meaning/story behind the name Guardian Ghost is….At first I was drawn to the name phonetically, but then as I think about it being the alter ego of a guardian angel, I like it even more​.

I find inspiration from….Musicians/peers/artists (of all types). And then lyrical inspiration from current events/emotions/anger/other writers-poets​.

My favorite song of all time is….​That’s impossible! ​

I’m currently listening to….​Jon Hopkins, Odesza, The War On Drugs, Fink​

One thing I want you to remember while listening to my music is….​Open your mind and heart​​, ​let yourself go, let the music take yo​u where it will​.

The inspiration or meaning behind my single “Sailor” is….Fallout from a relationship, putting the pieces back together and building a new inner strength​.

For fun I like to….​See music shows, play sports, laugh, ​hang with friends, binge-watch tv series.

My last meal would be….​Pizza. Death by pizza.​
