Here is a list of current and past contributors to Kryptonite who provide occasional reviews, interviews, and live photography.
Emma Lee Fischer
Emma is currently an art history geek in Cleveland, Ohio who’s obsessed with music discovery. An artist at heart with a photographer’s eye who has been at it for 5+ years. Always has enough time to play video games into the late hours of the night. Perfectly willing to travel the world at a moment’s notice.
Fun facts: Her hair is totally natural purple, and her blood is 17% root beer. Facts.
(Managing Editor, Photographer, Writer)
Sophie joined Kryptonite as a photographer in July 2015 after performing as an acoustic act at the Kryptonite Music Festival in Cleveland. She contributed for several years as a photographer and writer, and helped to run Kryptonite’s site and social media accounts. Even after ten years as a classically trained cellist, Sophie still seemed to find her way back into the pop punk world. She has had experience photographing anything from punk, to metal, to rock, and even to EDM. Some of her favorites include The Front Bottoms, All Time Low, Tyler The Creator, The 1975, AJJ, and Twenty One Pilots.
Fun fact: Her hearing has decreased by 300% since starting music photography.
Anne Sophie Haanen
Anne Sophie joined Kryptonite in the fall of 2015. She calls the Netherlands home and contributes by providing occasional reviews of new albums and tracks. Anne Sophie, a classically trained pianist for 13 years, enjoys most types of music. Some of her favorite artists include The Weeknd, Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers, and Jason Aldean. Anne Sophie also enjoys DJs like Hardwell, Tiesto, and Armin van Buuren.
Fun fact: She never leaves the house without lipstick.
Anamika joined Kryptonite in March 2016. She contributes album and song reviews to Kryptonite. Anamika is a concert junkie and when she’s not at a show, you can probably find her eating Mitchell’s ice cream. Some of her favorite artists include Walk the Moon, Magic Man, COIN, Panic! at the Disco, and Matt Nathanson.
Fun fact: Her first concert was Big Time Rush in 2012.
Austin joined Kryptonite in April 2016 after sharing a photo pit with Sophie the prior month. He’s had a Canon camera in his hands since before he can remember. Austin likes to travel and learn about fashion in his free time. He enjoys indie/reggae music as well as dozens of underground artists (that don’t get enough credibility).
Fun fact: He used to model and act before deciding that getting kicked in the face by a crowd surfer was his true calling.
Adrianna lives in the Metro Detroit area. She has been doing photography for about 3 years and bought her first camera during her freshman year of college. When she’s not in class or at a concert, Adrianna is at home watching horror movies. Some of her favorite bands and artists include Crown The Empire, The Ready Set, Melanie Martinez, Set It Off, and Chelsea Grin.
Fun fact: She went from wanting to be a psychiatrist to a music photographer in one day.
Addy joined Kryptonite in May 2016. She lives in the Pacific Northwest and has been passionate about photography since she got a camera for her 11th birthday. Addy enjoys going to shows more than anything, especially if a local band is part of the lineup. Some of her favorite artists are Neck Deep, Knuckle Puck, Moose Blood, Real Friends, Turnover, and The Wonder Years.
Fun fact: She has been traveling to different countries since she was 3 months old and is fully bilingual.
Andrew was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He spent 4 years in Southern California at Chapman University and graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design. Andrew moved back to Portland after college. He loves design, photography, music, and writing—any way he’s able to combine those passions is a win for him. Some of Andrew’s favorite artists are New Found Glory, Kendrick Lamar, The Wonder Years, Kanye West, Sublime, Knuckle Puck, Movements, and Julien Baker. He loves all kinds of music, but he grew up on pop punk.
Fun Fact: Andrew is a massive fan of professional wrestling.
