Interview – Luxxe

The following fill in the banks come from folk pop band, Luxxe. This Phoenix-based quartet will be releasing their self-produced debut EP, One, this August. The band formed in the fall of 2014 and consists of members Seth Smades (guitar/vocals), Tracy Haddad (bass), Nullin Hasan (keys/flute), and Devon Quartullo (drums). Three words we’d use to describe us are….Exciting, Professional, Creative

The story/meaning behind our name Luxxe is….One day we were all brain storming about names and we came up with 2 we thought were worthy, Delush and Deluxe. Seth suggested “why don’t we just call it luxxe!” Next thing you know tracy came up with the unique spelling and we had our official name.

The pickiest eater is….Seth

The most OCD member is….Devon

For fun we like to….Eat Pizza

We’re currently listening to….Top 40

Our favorite songs of all time include…. “No Woman No Cry” by Bob Marley

We find inspiration from….Nature, sounds, definitely a moment in your past/present you can relate to

The first song we wrote together was….Entomologist

One was recorded in….Devon’s bedroom

Something odd we want our fans to know about us is….We never agree on dinner unless its pizza

We’re absolutely terrified of….Cockroaches

Our last meals would be….A really good breakfast burrito, grimaldis pizza, fettuccini alfredo, and delicious salad.

In the next six months you should expect…. A full length album, music video, we will be touring west coast/mid west in September and saving up for a band pet turtle named Jeff.
