“Somebody Else” is the fourth single from The 1975’s sophomore album I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It, due for release on February 26th.
“Somebody Else” reaches back to the roots of their debut album, with electronic backtracks and a pumping drum track. Lead singer Matty Healy carries out an enchanting, breathy vocal sound through the ballet-like piece.
There’s something about this Manchester-bred band that keeps pulling me back in. I get so lost in their sound, from the stray guitar riffs to the consistent backtracks.
The band is currently touring, and they will return to the US in April.
