The widely admired Japanese rock band ONE OK ROCK has signed to Fueled By Ramen, making them labelmates with fan favorites Twenty One Pilots, Paramore, and Panic! At The Disco, among others. ONE OK ROCKS’s music career began almost a decade ago in Japan and they have since experienced huge amounts of success back home, selling out stadiums around the country that hold over 100,000 people. ONE OK ROCK has had monumental success in their native country and has recently experienced positive feedback from North America during Warped Tour 2015 and as opening support for popular bands such as All Time Low, Sleeping with Sirens, Yellowcard, and most recently 5 Seconds of Summer. Among the U.S., they have also toured around the world and performed at music festivals in Europe, Australia, and South America.
Fueled By Ramen’s president Mike Easterlin expressed his excitement on the signing by stating, “I’m proud to welcome ONE OK ROCK to the Fueled By Ramen family. Their monumental rise in Japan has been thrilling to watch and we look forward to launching the next chapter of their career here in the U.S. and around the globe.”
This deal to the American based label opens a whole new realm of opportunity for success to the band. The band’s upcoming English album from Fueled by Ramen is currently untitled, but the lead single is titled “Taking Off,” which is set for release September 16th. The album itself is set to release for early 2017.
