“Goodbye Agony” by Black Veil Brides

Black Veil Brides released their fourth studio album, Black Veil Brides IV, just last week. They’re currently on tour with Falling In Reverse and Set It Off, so I thought it would be appropriate to expose you to one of the songs off of their new album if you haven’t heard it already. bvb Their new album is a departure from their previous music in that it’s slightly darker, heavier, and has a greater rock influence than in the past.  Personally, I think this is their best album and could very well win the Alternative Press Music Award for Album of the Year, but hey the year is still young. That being said, my three favorite songs off of Black Veil Brides IV are “Drag Me to the Grave,” “Walk Away,” and “Goodbye Agony.” “Goodbye Agony” sticks out to me the most because it starts out with a slow and soft intro which is different from all of the other songs on the album (except for “Walk Away” which also stands out).  Typically, lead vocalist Andy Biersack will combine a mixture of singing and screaming in all of his songs to give the band their metal feel, but he never screams in “Goodbye Agony” which helps give it its individual sound, that in my opinion, is fantastic.  The music video definitely adds a dimension to the already brilliant song, so I highly recommend that you check it out below.
