Interview – Under Fire

The following fill in the blanks come from pop punk band, Under Fire. This 5-piece, formed back in 2013, hails from Derry, New Hampshire. The band consists of members Josh Carley (vocals), Devin Dehart (guitar), Adrien Aries (guitar), Ricky Butt (bass), and Jake Kisiel (drums). The band released a 4-track EP in fall of 2014. The record is titled Lessons and my favorite track is “Lesson Learned.” Be sure to check out the music video for “Make or Break” and their cool merch below.

Three words we’d use to describe us are….We’re not cool…

The meaning/story behind our name Under Fire is….There really isn’t a story behind the name it’s just something we came up with… We really aren’t that cool.

We met each other….Devin, Jake and Ricky went to high school together and were in a previous band before when we were younger and somehow found ourselves back in a band again. We then recruited josh because Ricky had been in a band with him before Under Fire and Adrien just happened to work with Ricky and it a just fell together.

The pickiest eater is….Definitely Devin

The most OCD member is….Adrien by far.

For fun we like to….Adventure outside, go to lakes and bridge jumping, have bon fires and stuff.

We’re currently listening to….The 1975, The Wonder Years, Defeater, Transit and Knuckle Puck.

We find inspiration from….Pretty much everything we listen to.

One thing we want you to remember while listening to our music is….To show your friends.

Lessons was recorded in….Thompson, CT at Apparition Sound with Chris Curran

It [Lessons] is different from our previous releases because….It defines us more as a band and shows our growth as musicians.

If we play another band’s music it’s….Blink-182 usually.

Something odd we want our fans to know about us is….We all still live at home…

Our last meals would be….Pizza cause we’re super pop-punk

In the next six months you should expect….Some real cool things 😉
