The following fill in the blanks come from 18 year-old singer-songwriter, Sam Woolf. You may recognize him from the 2014 season of American Idol where he placed in the competition’s top five. Woolf grew up in Michigan before moving to Florida and has been performing since 2011. On American Idol, he quickly became known for his perfect pitch and alluring tone. Woolf’s debut EP Pretend was independently released in December of 2014. The 5-track release, produced by Danny Blume, is a collection of authentic, laid-back artistry. Learn more about Woolf from his responses and check out the video for the making of “Close To Me” below.

Three words I’d use to describe myself are….Natural, happy, and friendly

My favorite season is…. Fall

The first song I wrote was…. “Thinking of you”, I wrote it when I was 13.

I find inspiration from….Experiences and nature.

Something I hope to accomplish as a musician is…. To reach out to as many people as I can with my music.

My favorite songs of all time include…. “Babylon” by David gray. “Gravity” by John Mayer.

My favorite tracks to play live are…. My originals.

I’m currently listening to…. Macy Gray.

For fun I like to…. Walk nature trails and songwriting.

Something I learned while working with Danny Blume on Pretend is…. That you can you never add too many harmonies!

One thing I want you to remember while listening to my music is…. The lyrics.

Something odd I want my fans to know about me is…. I do impressions of other artists.

My last meal would be…. Chili mac.

I’m absolutely terrified of….Spiders.

In the next six months you should expect…More music!
