Interstate Traffic, a band from Indiana, released their album If That Really Is Your Name on November 14th, 2015. You can read their interview with Kryptonite here.
The trio is an alternative-rock band with a bending vocalist and mellowing vibes. Their rock and jazz influences are clear through tracks like Jessica or Let’s Live.
Their music is something unique, each track has its own feel, its own sound. They mess around with different textures through each symphonic-like piece. The trio pushes boundaries, bending them without breaking.
My personal favorite from the six-track album would be Neon Jewels. Something about the strong, deep vocals and the slow drum kit really gets me. Neon Jewels is one of their more laid-back tracks, a track that one could just relax to forever.
If That Really Is Your Name is the first step of many for the Indiana-based band.
