Sundara Karma. Cleveland, Ohio.

by Sophie Sand

AltNation threw together a little tour with Coast Modern, Sundara Karma, and 888. One of the stops along the way was the House of Blues in Cleveland.

Sundara Karama invited Victoria and I from Kryptonite Music Magazine to cover the show, so we gladly headed down to East 4th on a busy Saturday night to do so.

Coast Modern were up first, taking the stage in hues of blue and red lights. If you know anything about me, then you know how I feel about blue and red lights.

This concert was held in the smaller room located inside of House of Blues, so there was no photo pit. I was doing my usual climb throughout the venue trying to find a nice spot to perch myself so I wouldn’t end up getting lost in the crowd.

After a short set change came Sundara Karma.

Most of my photos end up black and white when I shoot smaller venues like these. But, honestly, I really like black and white photos. I think it adds an unique kind of depth to each shot that color photos can’t always provide.

For some of the last photos I edited, I gave in and edited out the ugly exit sign.

Last up were 888.

The back of their lead singer’s jacket had the “I Want To Believe” patch embroidered and I wanted a photo of it so badly but, my God, he moves fast.
