Frank Iero & the Patience. Cleveland, Ohio.
by Victoria Race
Sophie and I headed down to the Agora Ballroom this past Wednesday to see Frank Iero & the Patience perform. The band was last in Cleveland in December of 2015. They are currently about a week into the tour, which is in support of their sophomore record, Parachutes.
Dave Hause & the Mermaid opened up the night with a strong set. Since joining Frank Iero on tour, they have noticed that they have much younger crowds coming to their shows. The band was very personable and appreciative of support. Highlights from their set included “Shine On,” during which the crowd was split in half and joined in on singing. My favorite track from the night was their slower song, “Wild Love,” with its mellow beginning and intriguing lyrics. Dave Hause & The Mermaid finished off their set with “Dirty Fucker.”
Frank Iero & the Patience started off with a few loud tracks before leading into my personal favorite, “I’m A Mess.” The room at the Agora was off the charts hot that night but it didn’t seem to phase anyone but Sophie and me. Fans were super animated and helped keep the energy at a high throughout the night. Sophie and I stayed through the performance of one of their most popular tracks, “Tragician.” The band has dates scheduled through July.
More information and tickets can be found here on their website.
