Before Kryptonite was created, I’d seen X Ambassadors perform twice at the Cleveland House of Blues; once with Jimmy Eat World and once with Panic! At The Disco. X Ambassadors is a four-piece alternative rock band out of Brooklyn, New York comprised of brothers Sam and Casey Harris, Noah Feldshuh and Adam Levin. They fuse together elements from hip hop, R&B, alternative, and rock resulting in their beautifully textured and raw sound. In 2014, they gained tons of recognition for their single featuring Jamie N Commons titled “Jungle” which has since been re-released featuring Jay-Z. I recently sent over some fill in the blanks to learn more about them and their kick-ass beats.

We are….X AMBASSADORS. My name is Sam, I sing and write stuff.
The meaning behind our name X Ambassadors is….Absolutely no meaning behind it, other than we thought Ambassadors” sounded cool, and then we had to add an “X” to it for legal reasons. Boring.
The pickiest eater in the band is….Casey, for sure. He hates cheese, and there’s cheese on almost everything we find on the road.
The most OCD member is….Adam, probably. He’s a bit of a hoarder.
For fun we like to….Sleep. Hahaha
We’re currently listening to….A lot of Nine Inch Nails and Tribe Called Quest.
We find inspiration from….Each other. The fact that we’ve known each other for as long as we have and are still constantly surprising ourselves, that’s not something to take for granted. It’s so cool.
The first song we wrote together was…Titled “Lead Rose”…I think Noah and I wrote it in 7th grade.
One thing we want you to remember while listening to our music is….To just listen.
The member(s) who writes most of our songs is….We all contribute significantly to the songs, but I write all of the lyrics and vocal melodies.
The Reason EP was recorded in….Bathrooms, cars, bedrooms, back stage… pretty much everywhere EXCEPT a studio.
Our craziest or most memorable gig was….Opening for Lights in Akron, OH when Noah tried to scale a fence and impaled himself. He spent 10 days in the hospital recovering.
Our last meals would be….Shake Shack.
Our favorite words to live by are….Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong. But it’ll probably all work itself out in the end.
In the next six months you should expect….A full length record with a ton of new material, and to see us in your hometown very soon.
